Careers
We hire continuously across Tokyo, Al Khobar and Singapore, and we read everything that comes in. Send us what you do and where you want to work, and we will reply either way.
What the work is
Factories, warehouses, power and process facilities, public buildings, hotels and national pavilions. Structural design and fabrication, site delivery, owner-side project and cost management.
Who we look for
Structural and civil engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors, site engineers, procurement and QA/QC. Experience across more than one country or standard counts for a great deal here.
Where
Tokyo, Al Khobar and Singapore, plus project postings. In Saudi Arabia we actively recruit Saudi nationals across engineering, commercial and site roles.
Disciplines we recruit for
We are not always hiring, but we keep a file and we read everything that comes in. These are the disciplines we recruit into as projects start. Apply below and say which one.
Site Engineer
Setting out, inspection and daily technical control on site. The person who catches a discrepancy between the drawing and what is being built, before it is built.
- Civil or structural engineering degree
- Site experience in the Kingdom, on building or industrial work
- Able to read structural and architectural drawings and resolve conflicts between them
Site Supervisor
Running the trades on site day to day. Sequence, labour, safety, and holding the programme when it comes under pressure.
- Years on site rather than in an office
- Able to hold a sequence when a trade falls behind
- Practical safety enforcement, not paperwork safety
MEP Engineer
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination through design, installation and commissioning. On most buildings the MEP interfaces are where the programme is won or lost.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background
- Coordination across trades, not single-discipline only
- Familiar with Saudi Building Code and Civil Defence approvals
Document Controller
Transmittals, revisions, submittals and approvals. On a project with a foreign contractor and a local client, this role is the record of who approved what and when.
- Document control on a construction project, ideally EPC or PMC
- Arabic and English to working standard, both written
- Methodical about revision discipline when a project is moving fast
Structural Engineer
Structural design and calculation for steel buildings, including pre-engineered and long-span work. Carrying a design produced abroad through Japanese structural requirements.
- Structural design experience in Japan, steel in particular
- Japanese building standard law and seismic design to practising level
- Comfortable with designs that originate outside Japan
Design Coordinator
Taking an architect’s intent through Japanese code, fire certification and procurement without losing what made the design worth building.
- Architectural or design background with built work behind you
- Japanese certification and approval routes
- Able to tell a foreign design team what will and will not pass, early
MEP Engineer
MEP design and coordination on industrial and process buildings, where the plant layout sets the building rather than the other way round.
- MEP design in Japan, industrial or process work preferred
- Coordination with equipment suppliers and process engineers
- Japanese code and inspection requirements
Procurement Engineer
Technical procurement across fabrication, materials and long-lead equipment. Knowing what a lead time really is, and what has to be ordered before a design is finished.
- Procurement on construction or plant projects
- Able to read a specification and challenge it technically
- Experience with long-lead items on fixed-date programmes
